Prayer is the foundation of the Christian life. We can go nowhere with God if we do not know how to pray.

Prayer is more than presenting requests to God—it is one of the primary means through which we engage Him, perceive His will, align ourselves with what He desires, and receive the grace and empowerment necessary to carry it out.

Many of the longstanding issues believers struggle with concern things Scripture teaches Christ has already made available through His finished work. Yet we can fail to appropriate and experience what has been provided because we do not understand how to engage God effectively in prayer. It is possible to possess a spiritual inheritance in Christ while lacking the understanding necessary to walk in its reality.

Teach Us How to Pray is an introductory workshop designed to provide a practical and biblical overview of how to pray effectively. Whether you are learning how to pray, struggling to develop consistency, or simply desire a deeper and more effective prayer life, this workshop will help establish the foundations necessary to engage God with greater understanding and intentionality.

During this three-hour workshop, we will explore:

• What prayer is and its purpose in the life of a believer
• The different types of prayer and when to engage them
• How to engage God and cultivate meaningful communion with Him
• The Court of Heaven and biblical concepts related to approaching God as Judge
• Spiritual perception and prayer—how our spiritual senses are developed as we consistently engage God
• Alignment with the will of God and how prayer positions us to perceive, agree with, and participate in what He desires to accomplish

Prayer is where we learn to recognize the voice, presence, will, and activity of God. As our prayer lives mature, our ability to walk with God intentionally and respond to His leading can deepen as well.
